When I first started blogging, while I was writing my debut novel, I was so uncensored. I had very few followers and so I posted to my blog regularly (LIKE THREE TIMES A WEEK, EASILY!) without fretting too hard over grammatical and typographical errors. I didn’t own licences to any stock photography and I didn’t understand how to use the free feature on WordPress to add images, so my posts had very few photos, if any at all. Life was simple. The people who followed me, joined my blog on their own accord, by no request, force or pressure to do so. I knew, if they were following me it was because they actually cared about what I had to say. I didn’t blow time hanging out on Facebook and Twitter (as much), although I did really enjoy Twitter before the auto-bots ruined it over there. I spent time writing my book, learning about publishing, and sharing my results. And you know what? PEOPLE LOVED IT!
Some of you might be wondering what I’ve been working on lately. Let me tell you!
This book will be quite different from what you’re used to from me. There will be no guarantee of a Happy Ever After, because PLAYING HOUSE (a Black Widow Novel) is not a romance. There are romantic elements, don’t get me wrong, because it is an erotic thriller, but there will also be violence, suspense, and a host of other trigger situations that might cause you pain and dig up old memories and emotions that are better left in hiding. That’s what the Black Widow does. She hurts people any way she knows how.
If you’re willing to face your fears and scare off those inner demons, here’s the blurb.
She’s only playing. He’s playing for keeps.

After taking a leisurely stroll up from the beach and past their condo-style bungalows, my hubby decides to detour to their lovely washroom, so I take a seat on one of the benches that lines the walking trail, with my two girls seating themselves on either side of me. Keep in mind, there is NO ONE around. Not a single sole. We’re simply walking down this path surrounded by landscape and flanked by a two-storey building of rooms and a dream-like shanty with linen-coloured curtains tacked to each of the four posts.
Out of no-where, a golf cart comes flying toward us, like a bat out of hell. A handsome Spanish security man leaps from his post, approaches me menacingly and promptly asks:
“How old are you?”
I’m like: What the hell? I’m clearly old enough to be drinking, which I hadn’t been, much. But I had my two children with me, both obviously close to their double digits, and I probably had a couple of years on him to boot.
“My age?” I ask, wondering if I didn’t understand his English properly. Seriously, I was stunned.
“Yes. How old are you?” he repeats, with a rather attractive accent that tells me English is barely his second language.
“Um. 34?” I answer, posing it more like a question than anything.
My oldest daughter whispers to me, horrified by my response. “No, Mom! You’re 33!”
Haha. Oops. “I’m 33,” I correct, snickering to myself and a little happy to hear it.
He doesn’t look amused in the slightest. Nor does he understand my English. “33?” he repeats.
“Yep. My birthday’s next week,” I explain, hoping he’ll understand the confusion. He doesn’t, but at least he looks good doing it.
While he doesn’t get my language, I don’t get that it’s a rather luxurious ADULT ONLY resort. Bahaha. Yay for possibly being mistaken as a teenager?!
Next he states, with a rather forceful undertone:
“Come with me if you want to live.”

IT’S RELEASE DAY, BABY!
Matt is good at fixing things . . . but he quickly learns that people are a little more difficult to put back together.
Matthew Knight is a ladies man. He’s as handsome as he is sinister, with a natural charm that wows the skirt off every woman he passes. Having already had a piece, Felicia knows how dangerous it can be getting too close to all that raw masculine power. If she’s learned anything from their scandalous weekend together, it is that spontaneity leads to chaos. Still choking on guilt from his untimely accident, she refuses to let him in. Matt wants in, and he can be very persuasive.
He will do anything to ruffle Felicia’s feathers and she will stop at nothing to hide how much she enjoys it every time he does. He refuses to surrender until she caves and gives him what he wants —what he’s wanted all this time —her.
When the pair reunite, their chemistry explodes off the charts, but can Felicia harness her frozen emotions and resist him? Although Matt comes armed with all the right words, can he prove to her that she means more to him than another weekend rendezvous? Witness the power struggle and see who comes out on top.

Matt wakes with a beautiful woman curled up next to him. He wraps her in his arms and holds her tightly. He’d given her the entire day and night to think. He quit with the tricks of seduction and they’d spent a good amount of time just talking and hiking and swimming. He had to keep busy to keep his mind straight after all. He has to face the facts. His heart is on the line. If this angel leaves him today, he fears he’ll be miserable for a long time to come.
His stomach twists with anxiety at the thought that she might not want to see him again. No, he can’t think that way. She has to want more. She is perfect for him.
Matt drags his lips across her neck and presses kisses across her beautiful chest. Felicia’s eyelashes flutter open and she stretches an arm out to the sky with a yawn. She draws her arm back into her body and sinks into him.
Her voice is soft and sleepy. “This is nice.”
Matt growls, drawing from his twisted thoughts. His lips trail down a flat abdomen. “Shut that pretty little mouth. Nice is never a word I want to hear coming out of it while I’m pleasing you.”
He showers wet kisses all over her body. “Amazing. Stunning. Life-altering, fine. But nice?” His tongue dips into her belly button. (more…)
It’s Friday the thirteenth, the day before Valentine’s day, and the day the Fifty Shades of Grey Movie releases. Coincidence? Just saying.
Do you know how I feel about Valentine’s day? I think one of my books will most efficiently answer that question for you.
Finding Destiny was never meant to be a holiday romance, but it just kind of turned out that way. The first line of the story happens to start with, “I absolutely hate Valentine’s day.” Of course that’s a little harsh. The entire story is actually centered around three ladies who wanted to go away and pamper themselves for Valentine’s weekend to avoid the stress of the holiday while being single, but what ends up happening is their piece of shit truck breaks down during a huge snowstorm in the middle of nowhere and three knights in shining armour come to their rescue—on snowmobiles.
Escape by Fiction said:
“Finding Destiny is a wild, hot, romantic adventure.”
When he pressed his lips in her hair, she knew she was a goner. With nothing but a kiss and a few small facts about his family life, she had fallen for him. And she couldn’t even hide it.
“Thank you for this,” she whispered. Why had she voiced her thoughts? She wished she could take it back, because Skylar knew she wasn’t talking only about saving her from a snow cloud.
Then Skylar chuckled, and his desirous voice tickled her ear, making her quickly forget about her embarrassment. “You don’t have to thank me, Destiny. I only do what I want, and right now I want to be here with you.”
His words whispered over her body, and she fought the urge to thank him again. Then she felt him curling around her, and his lips unexpectedly brushed across hers. (more…)
I promised to share the rest of the Prologue for Beautifully Broken with you, so here it is!
The snow crunches beneath my snowmobile boots, as I cover my bare hand with my glove. The hood lifts without any trouble, which is a relief. I tinker around until I find what appears to be the problem. I wipe the corrosion away from the battery and replace the cap. Honestly, the truck is a mess. It could be a host of things.
I peer around the hood and catch Felicia rubbing her gloved hands together, even though she’s inside the truck. Those fashionable mitts do nothing but look pretty. Lucky for her, we should be out of here in a matter of minutes.
“Give it a try,” I holler.
She glances at me until the fog dissipates from my frosty words. She tries the key once, but the engine still doesn’t turn over.
I hold up a hand to stop her, while I use my other to adjust the connections. Even with my snow gear on, it’s frosty. The snow starts to rain from the heavens, covering the road with a wave of white blankets. The hood of the truck had barely been blocking the wind, when suddenly a blast of snow whips around it and slices across my face. (more…)
ARC’s of Beautifully Broken went out a matter of days ago and reviews are already starting to come in! I thought I’d share part of the Prologue with you today. If you’ve read the first story in the series, Finding Destiny, you’ll recognize that this Prologue takes you back into the story, giving you the inside scoop of what happens when Matt, Felicia and Natalie take off to rescue Natalie’s truck from a snow bank.
Prologue: Wake Me From This Nightmare
My hands are freezing. It feels like my fingers might fall off if I don’t finish this job soon. It’s funny what a little bit of pussy can do to a man. Felicia has me eating out of the palm of her hand. She wants her friend’s truck fixed. I’m a mechanic. It only follows that I fix the truck, get her friend on the road and get Felicia and her wild ways back in my bed.
I am so eager to get her alone again that I agree to an onsite visit. I open the door to my truck and the three of us cram in. I shift her into four-by-four and we set off past the place where I’d met Felicia a matter of hours earlier. (more…)
