Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

You know the saying that goes a little something like this?

If you do what you have always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.

Many people attribute this quote to Anthony Robbins, Henry Ford, and even Albert Einstein. The point to be taken away here is:

If you want something you’ve never had, then you must do something you’ve never done.

You know me, always trying new things. With my newest book, which I’ve been sitting on since June 2015 due to its unusual nature, I’ve decided to try something drastic. I want to grow my reader base. I want to get my books in front of lots and lots of faces. This plan could fail miserably and ruin my book launch, or maybe something truly amazing will happen. I’ll never know unless I try.

The thing is, some of you have been with me since day one. wp-1488141113188.pngLong before I ever had a social media following, a street team, or more recently a growing list of newsletter subscribers, you’ve been here to listen to me babble on about all the crazy things I’ve tried over the years on my publishing journey.

It’s you who I want to share this with first, but I’m torn because whatever I post here becomes public and anyone and their mother can see it and take advantage of the offer. I want this to be special. If you want in on this offer, you must join my newsletter. It’s the only way I can give exclusively to the people who are there for me for the long-haul. It’s also a way to ensure that I don’t lose you as a fan!

I own my list of newsletter subscribers. No matter where I go, my list comes with me–kind of like when I left Mailchimp for Mailerlite most recently.

I don’t own my list of WordPress blog followers, unless of course you follow by email. Still, I did not transfer those of you who are email subscribers for fear of angering you after all these years. I know I get frustrated whenever I find that someone’s added me to another Facebook group without asking/inviting. So this is your invitation to join my teams. You can take it or leave it. I hope you’ll take it!

This special offer I’m talking about ends very soon, but there will be many more like it in the future. This invitation will remain open to anyone reading this post. If you enjoy my stories then maybe you’ll enjoy my newsletters, too.

If you decide not to join me elsewhere, that is okay too. I will continue to post here for anyone who likes to stop by at their convenience.

For the authors out there: have you tried any crazy schemes and found success, or was it a disaster of epic proportions? Tell me in the comments below!

More to come soon on this horror genre debate I find myself in recent days, but that is all for today. Have a good one. Peace out.  ❤
